NL Technologies is committed to continuous improvement.
NL is therefore pleased to announce that the dry cell NiCad
battery packs are being upgraded to NiMH technology. The
significant advantages include:
|
|
- Equal or better energy and performance available
in a much smaller package
- No memory effects
- No lead or Cadmium in the package; more environmentally friendly
- Prices Comparable to NiCad
|
|
Your next spent battery change out will upgrade your existing YL
series NiCad Battery pack to the new and improved GII NiMH battery
series. In addition to the advantages noted NL Technologies has also
redesignedtheir battery case to provide the following benefits and features:
|
- Re-usable case with removable lid allowing onsite service and
cell pack replacement. Translates to lower cost of ownership.
- Reduced overall size and weight, one case for 8 to 12 hour (Small GII battery case shown)
battery packs.
- More durable and serviceable strain relief
- More durable belt loops and the addition of a headpiece-mounting
bracket
|
|
|
The new GII battery case is significantly shorter than the YL series, so the
charger housing (black or grey housing) had to be remoulded to accomodate
the new case. The GII housing (black plastic only to identify 8 hour, 12 hour,
or radio chargers) uses the same charger circuit and is easily retrofitted
to onto your existing system.
